Sometimes I wonder whether I'm in Paris or Brooklyn. There are so many scooters on the streets these days.
During our visit to Vermont this week, we visited my friend Fran and went sledding down the hill in his yard. While walking around the yard I came across these tires at the foot of a birch tree. I like the juxtaposition of man and nature. The birch is one of my favorite trees to photograph. Maybe its because it translates so well into black and white, as do the tires and the snow.

There may not be any snow in New York, but there is in Vermont. Unfortunately, not as much as the Vermonters of the Mount Snow region would like. Reeds in snow are a favorite subject of mine.

Continuing with the "Winter on Lake Harriman" theme, these are the anchors for the dock at the boat launch along Route 9 in Wilmington, Vermont. The dock, itself, is removed for the winter.
The light this time of year is very different from the summer time. The coolness of the snow and ice is offset by the warmth of the setting sun.
